Description Tab
The Description Tab is common to all Item sheets. Hovering over the text shows the Edit button, which brings up Foundry's standard ProseMirror editing tools, the same ones available when editing Journals. It provides a place to transcribe the rules from the sourcebooks for quick reference, include personal details of character elements, or jot down other gameplay noes.
Device Items include fields to record additional information:
- Rating for an Actor's active commlink (determined on the Actor's Template:Actor) is used in matrix-related Tests.
- Qty
- Conceal
- Cost
- Avail
- Con. Mod. does not actually connect to the Condition Monitor on the Actor's Template:Actor.[git 1]
- Equipped should not be used, it doesn't properly interface with determining the Actor's active matrix device.[git 2]
- Wireless
- PAN
Matrix Tab
The Matrix Tab provides fields to configure the type of device and its Attack/Sleaze/Data Processing/Firewall array.
- If Type is set to
Commlink
orRemote Control Console
, the four values are locked in place. In the future, setting it toRemote Control Console
will enable rigging- and drone-specific options. - If Type is set to
Cyberdeck
, the four attributes can be reconfigured. If it is the Actor's active Device, changing them on the Device Item will change them on the Actor's Template:Actor.
PAN Tab
The PAN Tab tracks which s are slaved to the Device. They can be dragged from any actor to the Device, and. will show the owning Actor[git 3] and the type of Item.
As of SR5 v0.17.0, it has no active functions.
Effects Tab
The Effects Tab is where Active Effects are configured. The image to the right shows the tab as it appears on an Action Item, but it functions the same wherever it appears. [ edit ]
- Temporary Effects includes any enabled Effect with a duration. Such Effects will also show an icon on the Actor's token, if the Effect itself has an icon set.
- Persistent Effects shows enabled Effects with no duration.
- Inactive Effects are disabled and have no impact on any Actor properties.
Note that Active Effects inside an Item cannot be edited if the Item is on an Actor. They can only be altered if the Item is in the Items Directory in the sidebar or a Compendium.
